CAUTION! STOLEN LUGGAGE

Last August 28th we stayed in Limonaia. Upon arrival we were told that the hot water was not working. When we asked them to store our luggage for us while we returned to Barcelona, they told us that they were going to store it in a space where guests did not have access. However, days later, Camilo, the hotel manager, wrote to us to inform us that a "guest" had stolen one of our suitcases with personal belongings worth around 2,000 dollars. They told us that the hotel had insurance for these cases but that we would have to present the invoices for the belongings that were in the suitcase. So we did it and today, 6 months later, we still have no response from Camilo, the hotel manager, who has stopped answering our messages for weeks.

Had two nights in Next To! Wow we got lucky. We had perfect views of the De Pedrera! Our own little decking and right beside a perfect lounge area and outdoor terrace garden. The room was immaculate and the cleaning service was just perfect. We hadn’t paid for breakfast but went down for a breakfast buffet for €7.50! It was the best breakfast we had after 5 nights in Spain! Location was great too! Super!

I have booked with booking.com Everything was great, very comfortably, clean, the receptionist was great . The location is just perfect. Near great rest, markets, stores and metros. I wouldn't bet better price vs quality of this hotel

It is very close to Paseig de Gracia and the wonderful shops and to the subway. However, their staff lacks customer service. They kept our passport for 3 days until I finally realized they didn’t return it to me after check in. They had been keeping it in their “lost and found” drawer, didn’t occur to them to return to us when they found it. AC broke down on our top floor apartment (penthouse). It was miserably hot for our family. And lastly, we realized we left a set of Airpods in the room and they claimed (after multiple phone calls to different people) that they didn’t find them. I booked through Expedia and I’m ready to report this. Staff was friendly upon arrival but so far, haven’t been able to reach a manager.

Overall a very positive experience. A fun and modern interior. Great location in the Eixample. Near the wonderful shops of the Passeig de Gràcia, and a short walk to see many examples of the Modernista architecture for which the city is so famous as it is just around the corner from Gaudi’s La Pedrera. A special treat from our room allowed a private view of the back of La Pedrera apartments and rooftop! The hotel has a solarium on the first floor where we enjoyed sitting and viewing the surrounding courtyards during the temperate evening hours. Hotel staff were friendly, helpful and responsive. Why it is 4/5? It is a modern remodel of the hotel and yet very few electrical outlets. The curtains didn’t work well. We had a “suite” room with 4 beds, two were in the main room and two in an adjoining space. This extra space has no amenities - no table, shelves or luggage area, and none of the few outlets. The modern interior is tile floors and walls - sound travels from other rooms. On the plus side, we didn’t hear any traffic noise from the busy street on which the hotel has its entrance.
